The 2026 Colorado Small Game and Waterfowl Brochure is available.For all 17 of Colorado’s furbearer species, the bag limit is now two per species per day. Beaver season is now Oct. 1 through March 31 annually. Additionally, mandatory checking and sealing of all recreationally-harvested beaver is now required. The daily bag and possession limit for Common snapping turtle is now 3. Herpetofauna collection and possession requirements now include a a resident herpetofauna education course and a collection and possession license.
